Apple releases ‘iQuiz’ iPod entertainment trivia game via iTunes Store

Apple StoreApple has released “iQuiz,”the newest addition to iTunes Store’s iPod Games. iQuiz costs 99-cents.

Get your trivia fix with “iQuiz,” the fast-paced entertainment trivia game designed in a portable format. Put your pop culture knowledge to the test with questions about music, movies, and TV shows. Or choose “Music Quiz 2” to find out just how well you know the songs, albums, and artists on your iPod. You can keep the challenges coming by creating your own custom trivia packs to share, or add trivia packs created by other players.

• Rediscover all of the songs and albums you’ve tucked away on your iPod
• Keep track of your personal statistics as well as those of other players

System Requirements:
Games availabale on iTunes Store are compatible only with the fifth-generation iPod with iPod Software 1.2 or later. These games cannot be played in iTunes, nor are they compatible with other iPod models. iTunes version 7.1 or later required.

  1. What the iPod needs, is a game that tests your music knowledge by deleting your purchased tracks if you guess wrong.

  2. What the iPod needs is a demo of the Mac and OS X that can be easily deleted. That would more effective than the Trojan Rabbit.

  3. Unrelated question (now that someone mentioned a deletable demo of Mac OS X):

    Has anybody tried to install Mac OS X on a Parallels virtual machine?

    It would be really cool to test betas of Leopard without compromising our current Tiger, wouldn’t you think?

    You’re on the right track. But what about people who haven’t purchased tracks from the store.

    If you remember the opening scene from Ghostbusters II; how about zapping the “contestant” with a mild zap of electricity. Perhaps Apple could throw in a lanyard so you don’t drop your ipod when the jolts get stronger after each wrong answer.
