Give us TivoToGo for Mac! Now!
Now that I know what requirements are needed, I only need to know what a slingplayer does.
slingplayer + dvr = no reason to purchase tv shows anymore.
I loaded up the Slingplayer, it works great. Looks like crap, but it works fine.
Agreed.
It looks terrible, but works great!
I’m just glad they released it so we can at least use it while they work on the look of the app.
Thanks Sling!
For those asking what Sling Box is:
It’s a piece of hardware about the size of a large book that plugs between your cable connection and network adapter to stream the TV signal in your home out across the Internet. The beta software mentioned above completes the set-up by enabling your laptop to pick up the streamed video. In other words, you can watch your home cable TV from your laptop when you’re on the road, or even overseas, provided you have an internet connection. Two more expensive versions also allow you to remotely control and stream content from a DVR or home theater system.
So…
I need additional hardware to make this work, yeah? It doesn’t explicitly say so on their website, but it must… Right?
Why would I purchase a Sling player to beta test their software?
