NAND-based MacBook Thin! You're our first contestant! Come on down!

Who here would fight to be first in line for such a beast with 40GB of NAND, a FW, FW800 or eSATA port for external HD storage, no internal HD or optical drive, and a <$1,000 price tag? It would weigh next to nothing, and battery life would be great. Expand storage on the road with a bus-powered FW HD, as many travelling pros do already, and install software via disk images or an external optical drive.

It seems highly unlikely that the Nano will change in form factor, although it could receive an ever so slighly wider frame, and receive a screen that really pushes the edges.

The result could be a Nano that will deliver a more acceptable video viewing ability than expected.

Where this needs to go:
Viewing on a nano is one thing. Outputing to a TV is something else.

If Apple can deliver the ability to downsample, that would be the major feat with the Nano.

- Watch a 240 x XXX size video on the Nano, but when connected to a TV or other video source, it outputs a 320 x 240 (or higher) output version.

- This begs the question on the full-size iPod. If it does go to a complete full-screen 16 x XX ratio touch-screen display, with resolution in the 480 x 2XX range, if it could also have a higher output to a TV (720p or even 1080i) this iPod could be a nock out product (especially if Steve can get more than just Disney onboard with downloads).

As i've posted before, the Nano will be bundled with specticles dubbed "iFocals"

Any reports of magnifiers is completely and utterly false. And to be honest with you the hole idea of a magnifying glass is ridiculous.

The screen is still large enough to let you watch a five a side soccer match between two teams of fleas at full size. If that’s of any use. Which it probably isn’t. Anyway, maybe they will allow it to connect to a TV.

video capability is more about "because I can" and not because we need it.

Guaranteed, if you had a nano with video capability, your going to break it out no matter how small it may appear! If your wife is shopping, you left your other iPod with vid. cap., whatever it is, you will watch it however unpleasant it may seem.

Most interesting would be to beable to use it to plug into something else

Video enabled nano sounds like a stupid idea unless the video quality improves and it connects to tvs.
