“Customers visiting the Apple Store online to order a new MacBook Pro will have to wait a while before they get their mitts on the company’s new pro-portable. The expected delivery date displayed on Apple’s online store now states 3-4 weeks – although Apple had said the new laptop would ship this month,” Macworld UK reports. “Announcing the product, Apple CEO Steve Jobs warned customers to order their new machines fast, saying he expected demand to exceed supply.
“The changes to the expected delivery date could indicate that Apple has received more pre-orders for the MacBook Pro than it can fulfill,” Macworld UK reports. “While it’s possible the release has been delayed, many analysts have observed strong pent-up demand for the notebooks, so it’s equally likely that the initial production run of the products has now sold out.”
