I dont know which Cramer you were watching but Jim Cramer was not way down on AAPL 6 months ago. He’s been calling it best of breed for a long while and has been very positive about it.

Dave’s comment is right on the money. Today’s move alone took a huge bite out (about half) of the remaining gap between Apple’s and Dell’s market cap.

Don’t blink, or you’ll miss Steve flipping Mike the bird as the iCar passes Windows underpowered clunker and kicks up gravel into the latter’s windshield.

No you’re wrong.. Cramer is generally bullish on AAPL.. he just had a couple of moments of doubt after the stock collapsed in April ’05, and then looked like it was going to do so again in February. He did voice some doubts then, and was (I thought) a touch negative, but to his credit, he came right round again. Cramer is never afraid to be wrong, or to change his mind if the situation warrants it. That’s what makes him such a great investor and trader.

I’d hardly call what happened in April a collapse. The stock adjusted down a few percent after people panicked after quarterly results. It took all of a couple weeks to regain the losses.

I don’t need to check my TIVO (i dont have one anyway) because ive been watching Cramer and overall for the last year he’s been very bullish on Apple. Maybe the guy got busy one day and didn’t do his homework or perhaps he actually listened to that geek Wolverton at thestreet.com with his incessant uninformed Apple takes.

I think Jobs made a BIG MISTAKE by announcing that *ALL* non-Intel machines will be updated to IntelMacs.

Who would want to buy before the change a G5 anymore? This will hurt Apple’s Mac-turnover quite a lot.

People who don’t care. People who need apps to run 100% of the time since rosetta isn’t a proven technology. I think that reason alone will entice many people who do know the technology to buy a G5.

And on the Cramer comment., perhaps the quotes by Cramer about AAPL for the WHOLE YEAR wasnt enough to persuade anyone that he’s been bullish on the stock for a long time. It wasnt because of the earnings or MacWorld today. He’s been saying it all along Master Cylinder Dude.

If someone needs the raw power of the Quad right now, I don’t think the “all Macs to intel in 2006″ announcement is going to stop them from buying. Any software that current hardware buyers are going to use is already optimized for the PowerPC chip and will NOT be intel-ONLY applications even after they are made compatible with the Intel chips. They’re called universal binaries.
