TheStreet.com’s Cody Willard has penned an article called, “The Best Tech Gifts of 2005.” Willard recommends Apple’s iPod and iPod nano among his choices.
Willard writes, “Known simply as the ‘iPod,’ this little gadget from Apple already has shaken up all of Hollywood and is just getting started in making its impact on the world. That tiny little screen is remarkably comfortable to watch. And the storage capacity of this thing? Load it up with all the movies, TV shows and songs you own and/or buy from iTunes (or download from piracy networks) and I’ll bet you can’t fill it up by year’s end. Go ahead, give it your best shot. It’ll cost you $299 for the 30GB or $399 for the 60GB.”
“I suggest going for the 60GB, because even though you won’t be able to fill either one this year, over the course of the next couple of years, you’ll be adding a plethora of new content,” Willard writes. “If you want a smaller MP3 player-only unit, the nano is a dream machine. I’ve owned Apple’s stock and have been writing bullishly about the company’s music strategies since the shares were at $7. I’m also on my eighth iPod: broken one, lost two, and given four away.”
