i think it shows that mac people are more technically savvy. i had read before that over 18% of google users are on a mac, and that 14% of ecommerce are mac users. of course, us mac users already know that we are brighter ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />

  3. Look, look — you all know me! I’m Triumph! The ‘T’ Dog! Yeh-hehesssss. I love Macs as much as the next purebred, but something tells me this poll is being freeped. I mean, I haven’t seen numbers this good since my last STD tests came back!

  4. The numbers are good – too good. But even if they are half of what the polls show, you can expect Apple to gain some serious marketshare in the coming months…

  5. How would anyone actually find this poll. Why dosn’t CNBC have its own website it is buried in MSN. This looks really unprofessional. It has to be one if not the worst site I have ever seen. I had to search a while to even find this poll without clicking the above link.

  6. Why do certain people feel the need to fsck with the numbers? Who do they think they’re fooling and what good do they think is going to come from it? It’s like the polls during the election – all of the poll tampering didn’t do anything to help Kerry, in fact it probably hurt his campaign because they thought he was doing better than he was. So whoever it was that thought they were being clever screwed themselves. Congratulations, moron. So lets say the results from this Tiger poll get announced and they say on CNBC that 42% of the people polled say they’re willing to buy a Mac – what have you accomplished? Nothing.

  7. actually you are very wrong.

Since most people are sheep, especially windows users, making them think that they’re following a crowd will ease one of their fears of switching. So something is accomplished after all.

    Next dumb comment?

  8. Ashdog, the only problem I see with your theory is that sheep most likely follow each other into the store. They don’t read a poll and rush down to the nearest retailer.

  9. The poll is now closed with the final results.

Yes considering getting a Mac 42%

    No 21%

    Already own a Mac 37%

It looks like Apple better prepare to sell a lot of Macs as more people are considering to buy one than not.

  10. That was incredible. You gotta wonder though how many Mac Fans hit “Yes” rather than “I already have a Mac”; you know at least some did. The Mac Community online really has a lot of power to influence thing of this nature because we are so ardent. Look at the Forbes CEO Poll.

We have seen an incredible response from the Mac Community since launching wikitosh.com. Thanks again to anybody here who visited the site and contributed and a very special thanks again to MDN. You guys are de bomb and a really valuable and fun facet of the Mac Online Community.
