“Apple Computer says it has sold five million songs in the first 10 weeks after opening three European iTunes Music Stores on the Internet in Germany, France and Britain,” reuters reports. “Worldwide, Apple has sold more than four million of its market leading iPod digital music players and sold more than 100 million tracks on its iTunes online music store in the United States since it was launched in April last year.”

Another issue that no one mentions is the Freeby of the Week.
Unless you are a heavy buyer of iTMS that truly reduces the average cost of tracks. At least on my case where on average I do not buy much more than a track a week makes a Apple promotion of “Two tracks for the price of one” and it does not end on Labor Day as others’.
